Safety Manager
The Safety Manager is fully responsible for the Safety agenda and the mission is to create a safety culture to help Svea Solar become leading in Europe in the solar industry when it comes to Safety.

The role
The Safety Manager is fully responsible for the Safety agenda in the Swedish market, and for setting up safety blueprint for other markets globally. The Safety Manager runs the safety and work environment department, currently with two employees. The Safety department is part of the local HR department, and the Safety Manager reports to Head of HR Sweden.
The safety department works in close collaboration with Installation, HR, Operational Excellence and Learning & Development. The main focus is to support the Installation (with over 25 installation hubs from Malmö to Sundsvall) department but also the rest of the organization with safety and work environment knowledge. This should be done while assuring that we are aligned with local law and safety standards. The mission is to create a safety culture to help Svea Solar become a workplace with no accidents and severe incidents.
This role requires travel within Sweden.
Responsibilities
- Drive initiatives and projects that have improve Safety measures and processes “in real life”
- Create a center of expertise within Safety and work environment for leaders and employees
- Establish blueprint, OKRs and ways of working in the safety and work environment area
- Create policies, processes, routines, standards and ways of working and ensure that they are up to date and well known in the organization
- Initiating, driving, and implementing projects within Safety and work environment
- Be responsible for Svea Solar towards other agencies, governmental bodies (e g Arbetsmiljöverket)
- Staff responsibility for employees in the Safety department
Are we a match?
To be a perfect match for this role, we think you have:
- Solid leadership experience and experience in leading other leaders, preferably within a rapidly growing company
- An inner drive and the courage to make decisions based on available information
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a HSE position in operative project execution and construction site management for complex technical projects in either civil construction, manufacturing and plant engineering industry, the wind energy sector and/or similar industries/energy sectors.
- The ability to communicate effective and freely in both Swedish and English
As a person we believe you are action oriented with problem-solving skills. You have strong people and leaderships skills and an agile mindset.
We see it as meritorious if you have previous experience in the following industries: Installation, Construction, Facility Management or Solar Power.
