As our star and Head of Group Sustainability, Malin Cronqvist, will be going on maternity leave, we are looking for someone who wants to lead and drive our sustainability work forward from mid-April for approximately 1 year.

The role

As Head of Group Sustainability you will be overall responsible for the implementation of Svea Solar’s sustainability strategy. You will ensure that initiatives are successfully rolled out across the organization, that progress is made in prioritized areas and strategic objectives are met. You will be the primary contact point and spokesperson regarding sustainability externally and assist with expertise in key dialogues with customers, partners, investors, etc. The role also mean you are the internal expert on sustainability matters in general while each function and market are responsible for issues related to their specific area of work.

Responsibilities

• Sustainability Strategy - Ensure implementation & follow up of progress of strategic goals and roadmaps by supporting goal owners and related functions with expertise.
  
• Sustainability Reporting - Your most important mission during 2025/2026. Ensure that the annual sustainability report for 2025 complies with CSRD and meets our ambitions. This includes among other things to proactively structure and compile comprehensive ESG data from all markets, calculate necessary KPIs, structure and write the actual report, etc. A large focus will be on improving Svea Solar's climate data to prepare for setting a net zero road map in the future.

• Support Global Procurement with Supply Chain Due Diligence - implement plan for 2025 made by Head of Procurement & Head of Group Sustainability

• External sustainability representation towards stakeholders - Represent Svea Solar in meetings with potential and existing customers, commercial partners, investors, banks and other stakeholders. Use sustainability as a way to strengthen our external relationships.
  
• Internal capacity building & expertise - Serve as internal sustainability expert for all functions and markets providing guidance and input on processes, decisions, etc.
  
• ESG compliance & governance - Help ensure compliance and governance in terms of policies and routines related to sustainability.

Are we a match?
To succeed and thrive in this role, we believe that...

• You have an academic background in sustainability, economics, or a similar field. You have several years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG analysis, or similar areas. Furthermore, you are well-versed in and proficient with CSRD and other sustainability standards.

• You are not afraid of challenges and driving complex projects across functions. At Svea Solar there is still a lot of work to do when it comes establishing new processes, data structures, building internal knowledge, etc. Grit is a trait you must have!
• You like working with a lot of different functions both blue & white collars, topics and people. This role is broad, you will not get bored but need to be able to manage a lot of stakeholders and different issues at the same time. You will like it if you are curious and not afraid to take initiatives.
• You have broad and holistic understanding of how sustainability and traditional business values correlate and sometimes collide. We believe strongly in aligning profitability with sustainability and building business value along with improved sustainability practices. Managing these different perspectives to create the best compromise is crucial.
  
  Experience in the solar industry is a bonus, but not required. What matters most is a genuine interest in renewable energy and a passion for making a positive impact on our planet. 😊
