Tell us about yourself and your role at Svea Solar?

My name is Alexander Aura and I am the Global Head of IT Services & Operations. I am responsible for the Internal IT, basically all the IT that affects every employee at Svea Solar on a day to day basis.

How is it like to work at Svea Solar?

There is a lot to do but speed is key because our planet can’t wait. We have a lot of autonomy and mandate to create new innovative solutions. Svea has the perfect combination of a fast growing company with lots of opportunities, combined with a warmhearted startup where everyone is friendly and inclusive.

How does your team look like?

I have two teams, IT Services and IT Operations. They work very close together but with different scopes and responsibilities. IT Operations are building the IT Infrastructure focusing on system implementations, IT security and network. IT Services are handling the IT Support as well as finding new solutions that will increase the productivity at Svea.

What's the biggest challenge for your team?

I would say with the growth speed, we have previously focused too much on “just getting there”. There is a lot of untangling to do of old solutions and processes that were good at the time to something more scalable.

What problems do you get the chance to solve in your daily work?

I get the chance to discover old ways of working that was good at the time but not fit for a larger organisation. I also get the chance to be innovative in my role and find new solutions that will help the company scale better with our growth. Here I have a lot of trust and freedom to find the best possible solution to fix this.

What do you do when you're not working?

I am a gamer at heart, love to play different computer games. I also recently discovered Golf to be a lot of fun, even though I’m terrible at it.
