Astrid, Installer B2C
Hey Astrid! Tell us a bit more about yourself and what you're up to at Svea Solar!
Hello! My name is Astrid Lindell, I'm 21 years old, originally from Trollhättan but now living in lovely Gothenburg. I've been working as an installer at Svea Solar for about 3 months, and I'm really enjoying it.
What did you do before joining Svea Solar?
Before starting at Svea Solar, I went on a 4-month trip where I visited New Zealand, Australia, and Bali. Prior to that, I worked as a waitress in Stockholm. However, my cousin, who works at Svea Solar, recommended that I apply, and I felt that this job was something for me.
Fun fact about you?
Against all odds, I actually overcame my fear of heights by skydiving from 6,000 meters in New Zealand.
How would you describe your relationship with your colleagues and team members?
The relationship with my colleagues is very good; we have a strong sense of camaraderie and work well together. Since we work outdoors, there are days with bad weather, but my team is great because we prioritize having fun at work and motivating each other. Having fun at work makes the tough days so much easier and more enjoyable.
What do you like the most about working at Svea Solar?
What I enjoy most about working as an installer at Svea Solar is my wonderful colleagues and my team. It's also very rewarding to see how satisfied the customers are after a completed installation, which motivates me to develop further. A big advantage of our work is that we get to be outdoors, especially in the summer, and we also get our daily exercise as part of our job.
What are some of the biggest challenges you face in your role?
A significant challenge for me in the beginning was dealing with heights; it was a bit uncomfortable, but with each passing day, I felt more confident. I can also admit that I was a bit worried about the physical demands, but I quickly realized that with determination, a positive attitude, and teamwork, we can overcome most obstacles.
How would you describe the culture?
I would describe the work culture at our hub as very good. There's a positive atmosphere and a strong sense of unity. It's important for us to have fun together and engage in activities outside of work to enhance our bond. I really enjoy how everyone is treated equally here at Svea Solar, regardless of who you are or where you come from, which I think is great.
