Johanna Linder - Head of Customer Operations
Hey Johanna Linder! We're glad to have you here on #behindthegrid. So, tell us about yourself and your journey at Svea Solar?
Born and raised in Jakobstad, Finland, but I have been living in Sweden for a long time now. I am especially passionate about sports, particularly the Finnish ones. 😊
I joined Svea Solar in September as the Global Head of Support, initially focusing on the Swedish market. However, I am now fully dedicated to the Swedish market and responsible of building our Customer Operations.
How is it to work at Svea Solar?
Perhaps it sounds like a cliché, but every day is unique, and the pace is fast. Just because we did something yesterday doesn't mean we'll do the same tomorrow, which makes it incredibly interesting. This is the first time I've given a perfect 10 in the eNPS measurement (our internal measurement for employee satisfaction), so I truly enjoy working for Svea.
What are the responsibilities of your department, Customer Operations?
We are a diverse team with various responsibilities, but we share one common goal: to make the customer's journey as simple and easy as possible. Our newest team member, System Design, is involved in the sales process. We also have Project Coordination, responsible for planning installations and invoicing. Finally, we have Customer Service, who take care of addressing any questions or issues that may arise.

Without a doubt, the best thing is my team. We are building a winning team, and I have no doubt about our potential.

As a manager of a large team, what is your top advice for successfully leading such a team?
I would say it's a combination of factors, and one of the most important aspects is effective communication. This can be particularly challenging in a growing company, ensuring that everyone receives the necessary information. Additionally, setting clear goals and providing clarity are crucial.
What's the best thing about Customer Operations?
Without a doubt, the best thing is my team. We are building a winning team, and I have no doubt about our potential. Another aspect is that we genuinely prioritize what matters most: our customers and the planet.
Why did you choose to join Svea Solar?
Having previous experience working in a startup, I appreciate the speed and the opportunity to build something almost from scratch. Furthermore, Svea Solar's purpose to eliminate fossil fuels and embrace solar energy resonated strongly with me.
What do you do when you're not working?
I spend a lot of time with my kids, cat, and husband. I also try to incorporate some workouts into my routine. Additionally, despite knowing very little about music and being completely tone-deaf, I enjoy singing heavy metal in my car, especially old German metal. Driving with me can be quite an experience, at your own risk!
