Hey Sam and welcome to #behindthegrid! So, tell us, who are you and what do you enjoy doing when you're not busy working on eliminating fossil fuels?
I love traveling and spending time in nature, hiking, and camping in the woods. If I'm not doing that, you might find me dressed up as Pikachu, raving at a festival...
What do you find enjoyable and challenging about your role?
The fun part is that working in sales requires having knowledge about various aspects. The challenging part is the fast-paced nature of the job, where rules and news can change rapidly, and you need to adapt quickly.
As Svea Solar experiences rapid growth, we all get opportunities to develop and grow 🌱 In what ways have you personally developed at Svea Solar?
Taking responsibility for my own results has been a significant development for me. I have been focused on helping us achieve our budget goals. While there are many interesting opportunities and roles within the company, my main objective has been to contribute to our collective success. I strongly believe that individuals can shape their own roles in the future.
You're part of a large sales team at Svea Solar. What do you think sets our sales team apart from others?
Having worked at other companies, the difference here is that we operate like a close-knit family. We genuinely care for and support each other in achieving our goals together.
What motivated you to start working at Svea Solar?
In 2020, due to the pandemic, my backpacking trip was canceled, and I ended up moving to Stockholm. Fortunately, I was recommended this wonderful company after spending 10 years in the insurance industry. And now, thanks to Svea Solar, my backpacking trip is back on track, as I will be taking a few months off in September.
What accomplishment at Svea Solar are you most proud of?
I take great pride in having the opportunity to work remotely and assist our teams in Spain and Germany. The company's trust in me to work in another country while ensuring that I achieve my goals, all the while supporting our colleagues across the market, is something I cherish.
What is your number one advice for achieving outstanding results?

Which memory from your time at Svea Solar brings the biggest smile to your face?
Breaking all the records, particularly the month where I sold 75 projects worth 12,000,000 SEK. Throughout 2022, I achieved sales worth 65,000,000 SEK with over 400 projects. It's a memory that never fails to make me smile!
