Svea Solar is on the verge of transforming how we manage energy with just the click of a button. We're here to help our customers make the most of their energy usage while also balancing the energy grid with smart, innovative solutions. To bring this vision to life, we're expanding our app team and are on the lookout for our next Senior iOS Engineer.

The Role

As our Senior iOS Engineer you will be working with our new iOS App and its surrounding extensions, like our app for Apple Watch.
The app will help tens of thousands (soon to be hundreds of thousands 😉) to optimize their energy consumption, as well as contribute to a more sustainable world!

You will be working closely with our Product Manager, iOS Staff Engineer and the rest of the app team consisting of Android and backend engineers, designer and product analyst. You will collaborate with the team to define and implement solutions from our roadmap. Discover more about the team by  listening to this interview.

About the iOS app:

• New app built with SwiftUI and Swift concurrency
• Interfaces with a newly built backend
• Built using the latest and greatest frameworks from Apple
• Minimum version requirement is currently iOS 16. Will be bumped to 17 this year

Responsibility:

• Be part in defining the architecture, platform, and best practices for the development of our app on iOS. 
• Write, review, and test code in a collaborative environment with other software engineers 
• Work closely with other engineers, designers, and product owners to explore new solutions to significant problems 
• Contribute to the development roadmap on how to best further us on our way to rid the planet of fossil fuels

As we have fairly recently released our new app we need someone to help us continue to build new top of the line features, therefore we expect you to have lots of experience in Swift and a good grip on the basics of Swift concurrency and SwiftUI.

• You know how to write readable, idiomatic, and maintainable Swift and are willing to follow already defined coding guidelines and workflows. 
• You have released at least one app on the App store or have a project in the works that you can tell us about. 
• You value team success over personal success.
• You are familiar with the advancements in Swift 6
