Project Developer (solar parks permits) - Team Lead
The Utility business unit at Svea Solar is responsible for utility-scale (i.e., very large!) projects. Our own solar park portfolio includes Fjällskär (20.7 MW), Hörby (18.2 MW) and others, accounting for 49 MW of operational assets and another 54 MW of assets under construction, including an agrivoltaic park construction in Hova.
To accelerate the transition to 100% renewable energy by continuing to develop solar parks in our portfolio, we are now looking for a Team Lead for our permitting development team at Svea Solar Utility.
The role
If you've read and understood the title, you probably know what the role is about. 😉 As a Team Lead for the Utility Development - Permits team in Sweden, 75% of your time will be focused on advancing the development of solar park projects by driving the permit acquisition processes. The remaining 25% of your time will be designated for ongoing proactive development efforts. While there's no immediate personnel responsibility, you'll play a key role in future recruitment and onboarding initiatives and elevating competency level within your team.
Project Development responsibilities include:
- Acting as a liaison between Svea Solar and municipalities, county boards, grid owners, and other relevant stakeholders to get permission to build solar parks.
- Investigation and decisions on environmental impact assessments.
- Building permits, including handling of beach protection, water activities, land assessment, etc.
Team Lead responsibilities include:
- Taking increased ownership of the team's outcomes by providing support in daily issues.
- Providing continuous reporting on the department's progress regarding budget and OKRs.
- Acting as a liaison between the team and the Head of Utility Development.
- Participating in recruiting and onboarding new Power Shifters for Utility Development.

- At least 3 years of experience in project development facilitating permitting process for solar parks or other renewable energy projects. Acting as a competence lead, it's important that you are good in and passionate about the core operational aspect of the role.
- Swedish and English language proficiency.
- An interest in supporting the team and driving the results.
