Tell us your story! Who are you, where are you from and do you have any hobbies?
Hey, Behind The Grid! It's an honor to be here to tell you all a bit more about myself.
My name is Adam Ahlén, I'm 26 years old, and I love sales! I was born and raised in Stockholm, Vasastan, with my older and stronger brother, William.
Since he was the stronger one growing up, and I’d lose every physical fight, I had to be creative. What better way to win than with your argumentative skills? I guess he might be the reason I'm here today! (I'm now taller than him, so he rarely chooses to fight me anymore).
I do have a few hobbies— in true sales fashion, I really love playing golf and dancing with my friends on a night out. A new hobby I've recently gotten into is solving the Rubik's Cube, which I just recently managed to solve fully. Big thanks to my fellow Powershifter Danny Axiotis for a perfect birthday gift 😉
Cool, now we know the basics. To dig a bit deeper, what are your strengths personality-wise?
It's always hard to describe strengths about yourself while trying to stay humble. But I would say I'm a happy, polite guy who tries to see the good in every situation. I'm a good judge of character, and I love building relationships.
We're super glad to have you on board the Power Shift. What did you do before you started here, and how come you decided to join?
Before Svea Solar, I worked in different forms of sales, mostly with Anti-Churn, trying to "save" customers who wanted to cancel their collaboration with the company. I actually got recommended by a former colleague, who said Svea Solar was a great place to work— he convinced me to take an interview. And now, here I am!
You have an impressive "Grow as we grow" story! Can you tell us a bit more about your development at Svea Solar?
I started as a Sales Rep in late September 2022. After 12 months of hard work, I had the honor of being promoted to "Senior Sales Consultant," which includes more responsibility and coaching for my team.
Tell us a bit more about your role, and what's most challenging and most fun?
The most fun part of my role is that I get to talk to new, engaged customers every day who want our help in providing them with the best solar solution. I love building relationships with customers on a personal level and getting to know them as well as you can through the phone. It’s sometimes challenging to prioritize and structure my day to fit in everything I’d like to do.
How would you describe your team?
We call ourselves "Team Friendship," which might reveal something about us. We’re a group of like-minded people, but all with different backgrounds and knowledge. We like to help each other succeed!
You're in an elevator with a person who's curious about joining Svea Solar as a Sales Consultant. What's your elevator pitch?
Svea Solar is a great place to work, with great people from different backgrounds. You have a lot of freedom and responsibility, and the right conditions to do a great sales job. And of course, we have a great commission based on your performance.
Lastly, what's your top 1 best memory from your time as a Power Shifter?
I have to say, my most memorable and proud moment must be when I got the award for "Salesperson of the Year" in 2023.
